About Montville Pet Parents
Montville Pet Parents, Inc (MPP) is an all-volunteer, non-profit corporation dedicated to building a kinder world for homeless pets. Formed in 2005 by concerned area residents concerned with the conditions at the Montville Animal Shelter facility built in the 1970’s MPP is committed to improving our animal shelter
MPP’s primary goal is to raise money toward building a new shelter in Montville Township. We are funding this effort though Grants from foundations and donations from individuals and corporations.
MPP also helps members of the community and provides donations to the current animal shelter 2007 Highlights: • Donations for spay/neuter of Montville Shelter animals • Donation for feline eye surgery • Donated Animal Oxygen Masks to First Aid Squad • Volunteer at the shelter to provide care and socialization • Create & distribute flyers highlighting animals at the shelter • Place advertisements in local papers for individual animals • Donations of supplies to the shelter • Networked to find dog walker for elderly resident in Chelsea • Members have adopted dogs and kittens from the shelter • Increased awaremess of the need for a new shelter

Capital Campaign: Consider creating a living legacy in the new animal shelter. If you are looking for hands-on exposure to the animals you may be able to help with daily care, socialization or dog walking. You must sign a release at the Health Department and then contact the Montville Animal Shelter for their current needs (973-334-6410).
If you cannot volunteer but want to help the animals you may donate any of the following items: - Towels, blankets or sheets (no knitted or crocheted items please) - Kitty litter - Dog, Cat and kitten food - Cleaning Supplies (bleach, fabric softener, laundry soap, etc.
