Building a Kinder World for Homeless Pets

MPP Home

Montville Pet Parents, Inc (MPP) is an all-volunteer, non-profit corporation dedicated to building a kinder world for homeless pets. Formed in 2005 by concerned area residents concerned with the conditions at the Montville Animal Shelter facility built in the 1970’s. In November of 2013 our dream of a new shelter became a reality and the building was completed. There are still many items that need to be completed but the structure is in place and the animals have been moved to the new location.

MPP’s goal is to complete the much needed dog medical/isolation area and purchase items to house and care for the animals such as stainless steel cat enclosures.  We are funding this effort though Grants from foundations and donations  from individuals and corporations.

MPP also helps the homeless pets currently at the Montville Animal Shelter by providing funds for spay/neuter and the care of sick & injured animals.

Our members also help the community and the Shelter by:
• Volunteer at the shelter to provide care and socialization
• Create & distribute flyers highlighting animals at the shelter
• Place advertisements in local papers for individual animals
• Donations of supplies to the shelter
• Members have adopted dogs and kittens from the shelter
• Increased awareness of the need for a new shelter
